Morning call 7.30am, had my breakfast in the hotel chinese restuarant. Horrible food, Imagine the best food in the restuarant is sunny side up...egg la...I took a 馒头 with hotdog sauage and satly vegetable 馒头 (咸菜）。One bite of the 咸菜馒头 is terrible plus horrible. Imagine hot milk the china-ians added sugar inside. No wonder the tour guide says the china-ians like sweet and salty food.
Proceed to the 西湖新天地 is more or less like our chinese garden，we then took a ride at the lake <<船游西湖>> for about 45 mins，first time in my life seeing such a big lake. Had our lunch at a restuarant, can say the food are very filling as the table are always fill with at least 8 dishes of food consisting of soup, rice, variety of vegetables, pork, fish and dessert. 2 bottles of beer and a bottle of soft drink are one of the standard drink we always had on our table, no wonder the china-ians likes to drink beer. As usual, the food are all very saltish....although we have requested the chief not to add too much salt, but still its saltish. We are all thirsty after finishing the food. Some food of course taste weird, but then they still manage to try every dish, but not me. I can commend that he restuarant so far I been to are pretty high class.
Continue our journey and reached 龙井问茶，a place where they sell green tea, specially cook by the 师父 bare hands. Learn more about green tea between 茶王, A, B, C grade of green tea. It is recommended that those with high blood and diabetic to drink everyday. We bought 3 斤of 茶王at RMB 900 for our parents. Hmmm...experiment done to prove that it helps to clear all the dirt in our body.
On our way to 明清河坊街, saw the 外观六和塔 along the road. 明清河坊街治安不好, advise only to bring RMB 100, but there were lots of things to buy, so RMB 100 is not enough. Had free and easy time for almost 2 hrs at the street. Sells lots of funny food but only ate the dragon candy and cotten candy....All sweet stuff....
Had our dinner early today, because the rest need to rush to watch an ancient show which cost S$80 each, we opted out as we are not interested, so we had our free and easy time after our dinner. Explore the place on our own. We walk all the way to the 西湖天地, where they are lots of pub and coffee house. Bought a cup of Ice Mocha at starbucks.....their ice mocha is just coffee added with ice at RMB25. I wonder how come is not blended, probably the word ice tell them its just ice....
Took a cab back to our hotel which cost RMB17, went to explore at our nearby hotel, the night street here is just so quiet and I was pretty scare of the 治安, quickly shop and went back to the hotel and writing here....Feel so glad that we are back after a tiring day. Its great to be able to explore on our own. The feeling is just so special or different.....
